Our Inspirational Saying this time around is from Steve Jobs, a man who started in a garage— and well, you know the rest of the story. He was a man who truly felt that he could change the way we communicate.
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle”.
I have always been a big fan of following your heart and doing exactly what you want to do. It sounds simple, right? But there are people who spend years, even decades, trying to find a true sense of purpose for themselves. My advice? Find the one thing you enjoy doing more than any other thing and go for it. Put that thing on the front burner and Turn It On. My parents stressed the three P’s: Prayer, Positivity, and Perseverance. The echo that followed was of course “if you don’t succeed, try, try, and try again”. Nothing has changed since I was a kid. There’s no need to say it was too many years ago to be relevant. Nope, it’s the same stuff, just a different time and place.
Really, the biggest obstacle to overcome is YOU. You don’t want to wake up in 10 years and think to yourself, why didn’t I just take a leap of faith and go for it? You don’t want to look into that mirror, mirror on the wall, and ask: why didn’t I jump out of my comfort zone? Why didn’t I learn to embrace risk? Sitting around won’t change your life, nor will a pity party. So this is what I’ve learned—Stand tall, take a big, and I mean a big breath, and say to that person in the mirror, “I’m a strong woman and I shall learn to embrace risk. I will follow my dreams”. Even if it doesn’t work out, don’t you owe it to yourself to say, “I gave it my best and I love myself for trying”.
Fitness is important in your life. Start NOW and not later. Happiness will follow!
