I don’t know about you, but October seems to be zooming right along and Halloween is almost here. Every year, it seems Halloween costumes get more and more elaborate.
People spend more time and money getting dolled up for this silly holiday, pulling out all the stops. That’s why I’ve decided to say no to dressing up and yes to glamming up a pumpkin instead.”
remember going to my mother-in-law’s house at Halloween and she always had two pumpkins sitting on either side of her front door. These pumpkins weren’t carved. No, she would take a black sharpie and would draw beautiful eyes with big bold eyelashes and lips that turned up just enough to make you wonder what those pumpkins were thinking. Fast forward to today, it’s become an obsession to take a dirty muddy gourd and turn it into Cinderella looking for her Prince Charming. Now my mother-in-law would say “forget Cinderella, Hollywood Glam is what it’s all about”. Back in her day, Ava and Audrey would serve as the inspiration of the pumpkin patch. After all, what gourd wouldn’t want to be dressed up and look like those two lovelies? So girls in honor of Hollywood Glam, grab that pumpkin and have at it! Do something really bizarre like my fashion forward mother-in-law. Be creative. After all, it doesn’t take much to crossover from fab to fabulous. Happy Halloween.
